Nolan is 19.4 pounds which is the 82nd percentile.
Mackay is 18.9 pounds and he is in the 75th percentile.
They are about 25 inches long now (we think they are actually the same even though they measured about half an inch different... they are hard to measure).
These boys have become so active. They love playing and are much more self sufficient.
Nolan is a better sitter than Mackay, although both boys are oh so close to doing it all on their own.
Mackay started scooting himself (working toward crawling) about two days before Nolan did. We told the pediatrician that the boys hate being on their tummies, and the next day, they didn't mind it so much.
They each have their own, very loud voices. Nolan squeals and screams and Mackay yells with all his might. They definitely like to make sure every knows where they are.
They have become very aware of where the other is supposed to be, and they have to have each other in order to sleep, otherwise they look at you and try to figure out what you've done with brother.
Nolan loves chewing on his binki more than he does sucking on it. He takes it out of his mouth and chews on every piece of it. He twists it around and on the occasion he decides to put it back in, he does it upside down.
Mackay just loves his binki. The kid has to have something in his mouth at all times, and if he does not have his binki, you can bet his fingers are shoved in there.
They are very happy, smiley babies. They will smile at and talk to anyone who talks to or smiles at them. Nolan's Occupational Therapist told us that they are the happiest babies he's ever seen. They are always smiling.
They are very well behaved and content babies. Mom made an outing to City Creek with two friends who each had a little boy of their own. The friends were impressed at how easy it was for us (although, their babies were three months old and two months old so they require a little more attention).
At six months, neither baby has been sick. Maybe we received an extended healthy period due to all the problems we had to deal with in the beginning, but I'm sure we're about due. We are not looking forward to sick babies.
We still find it incredible that these two little people came from just one egg and they still have all their perfect little parts, down to perfect little fingers and toes. Parenthood is an amazing new adventure, and having twins just adds to the wonderful chaos. We've always got something going on, and every venture out of the house is quite the production.
These two babies are such an incredible blessing in our lives. Finding out that you are having twins is a slightly overwhelming experience, but we can't imagine life any other way. They are a lot of work, but a lot of fun. We were definitely meant to have these two babies together.
